Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame: Honoring and Remembering Our Community’s Legends of Sport

Within these pages you’ll find profiles of the members of Greater Binghamton’s Sports Hall of Fame (GBSHOF). What better way to document this sports town than through the individual stories of the members of its hall of fame? In telling these stories, the character of the Greater Binghamton N.Y. area is told as well. These pages tell how a kid named “King” needed lots more than a name and a dribble to fulfill his potential. We also get to relive how the handing of a basketball meant the handing of a life to a young girl named Bess. Chris Snee won two Super Bowls, but just by listening to him you know he’s still the kid who grew up in a town you probably never knew existed. Sports in Binghamton is more than just a bunch of competitions—it’s the community’s mirror and this book celebrates that community by cherishing its legends of sport. (Net proceeds from the sales of this book will directly support the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame and Museum.)
